Privacy Policy

Prayer times are calculated on your device from your location and your chosen calculation method. Your location is not sent to us, and it is not sent to anyone else.

There is no account, no login and no email field anywhere on this site. We never ask for your name, your email address or your phone number, so we do not hold them.

This is not the same as being invisible. Like most websites, we measure how this one is used — the section below says exactly how, and it is worth reading rather than taking on trust.

We use PostHog, a product analytics tool, to understand how people move through this site. It records the pages you visit, the things you click, your approximate location from your IP address, and a random identifier stored in your browser so that repeat visits can be recognised as the same browser. It also records a replay of your session — the pages you saw and where you moved and clicked.

We do this because this is a new site for an app that has not launched, and the alternative is guessing. We would rather find the button nobody can find than redesign around a hunch.

It is used to improve The Call, and for nothing else. It is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to build a profile of you to sell to anyone. There are no advertising networks and no third-party ad pixels on this site.

PostHog is served from our own domain rather than theirs, which is a technical detail with one honest consequence: it means the data reaches us even when a tracker blocker is running. We are telling you because you could not easily find that out yourself.

This is the only survey shown on this website. We do not place a second analytics survey over it.

The survey does not ask who you are. We store your answers, the language your browser reports, and your browser's user-agent string — which describes the browser, not the person using it. We do not ask for your name or email, and your IP address is not stored alongside your answers.

We hold no name, email or account against a survey response, so we cannot look one up by person. We are not going to pretend that makes it mathematically impossible to ever connect a response to a visit — analytics data exists, and a determined person with access to both could try. What we will say is that we have no reason to, and we do not.

The questions are personal by design. If there is something you would not want recorded, skip it — every question can be skipped, and a skipped question is more useful to us than an answer you did not mean.

The three-question demo on the home page sends your question to a language model to be answered. We store the question, the reply, and a random token held only in your browser. That token exists to stop the demo being used more than three times; it identifies nobody and is not linked to anything else.

Do not put anything private or identifying into the demo. It is a taster, not a confidential channel.

Your data is not for sale. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone — and not if this company is one day bought or wound up. Any buyer inherits that promise or does not get the data.

There are no adverts on this site or in the app, and no advertising networks are loaded here. Nothing you do is used to target you with anything.

We know why you are reading this paragraph carefully. A prayer app was found sharing its users' location data with a broker that sold on to US defence contractors, and the ummah has not forgotten it. That is the standard we are measured against, and we would rather be specific about what we do than reassuring about what we do not.

You can turn off the analytics described above at any time using your browser's Do Not Track or global privacy control setting, or by blocking cookies for this site. Nothing here stops working if you do.

If you would like the data associated with your browser deleted, email support@jointhecall.co from any address and we will remove it. You do not need an account for this, and you do not need to explain why.
